Shotover Triple Challenge - Grade 3-5

Half Day

Price from £153 per person

In half a day, you'll experience a thrilling jetboat ride, the exhilaration of a helicopter flight and the adrenalin of white water rafting. Travel the short distance from town to Cavell’s Rafting Base, where you will race through the Shotover Canyons with Shotover Jet. After changing into rafting clothing including a wetsuit, booties, spray jacket, life jacket and helmet, you'll be transferred to the helipad to climb aboard your jet turbine-powered helicopter for a spectacular flight through the dramatic and historic Skippers Canyon, before landing at Deep Creek to meet your river guide and rafting team. After a safety briefing, the rafting experience begins in the peaceful waters of the upper section of the Shotover River, where you'll have time to practice your paddle techniques before hitting the whitewater of the lower canyon and paddling numerous rapids such as Rock Garden, Jaws, Toilet and Sequel. Rafters are then plunged into darkness as they negotiate the 170 metre long Oxenbridge Tunnel before bursting into Cascade Rapid to complete their adventure. A short walk brings you back to Cavell’s Rafting Lodge where a sauna and hot shower is waiting, prior to a return transfer to central Queenstown.
