Queen Charlotte Track - Guided Walk & Wildlife ex Picton
Full Day including Lunch
Price from £150 per person
Board your vessel at Picton Wharf for a journey past salmon farms and sea birds on a beautiful voyage to Ship Cove, a historic and scenic reserve that Captain Cook visited several times in the 17th century. Enjoy a guided walk along what is regarded as the premier section of the Queen Charlotte Track, from Ship Cove to Endeavour Inlet (14 kilometers - approximately 5 hours). The bush is mainly a mixture of stunning podocarp and beech forest with punga ferns and other New Zealand native foliage. Many beautiful views are to be had across the Marlborough Sounds as an informative, local guide explains the European and pre-European connections of this significant historical area, as well as providing detailed information on flora and fauna.
