Overnight Cruise on Doubtful Sound

Board your Real Journeys vessel at the Real Journeys Visitor Centre, Pearl Harbour Wharf, Manapouri to commence a Doubtful Sound Overnight Cruise. Cruise across the crystal waters of Lake Manapouri to West Armwhere a coach will take clients across the alpine route of Wilmot Pass through some of Fiordland's most dense rainforest. Upon reaching Deep Cove board the Real Journeys vessel Fiordland Navigator for a leisurely exploration of Doubtful Sound. Fiordland Navigator is a 40 metre motor vessel. View waterfalls, rainforest, mountains and various wildlife including bottlenose dolphins, fur seals and the rare Fiordland Crested Penguin. The vessel then anchors overnight in one of Doubtful Sound's hidden arms. Dinner is served on board.

Day 2
This morning, after a choice of either a cooked or continental breakfast, there is time for further cruising before returning to Deep Cove and disembarking to re-trace the journey back to Manapouri. Cruise concludes at approximately 11.45am, at Pearl Harbour, Manapouri. (B)

The Fiordland Navigator has been designed along the lines of a traditional New Zealand coastal trading scow to reflect Fiordland’s heritage. The vessel has been purpose built to accommodate 70 passengers either in private cabins with ensuite bathrooms or in quad-share bunk style compartments with shared bathroom facilities. Onboard amenities include spacious deck areas for viewing the scenery of Doubtful Sound.
