Doubtful Sound Overnight Cruise/Coach - Private Cabin
2days / 1night ex Te Anau.
Price from £377 per person
A Real Journeys vehicle will pick you up from your Te Anau hotel for your transfer to the departure point for this 2 day / 1 night Doubtful Sound Coach/Overnight Cruise/Coach tour. Upon boarding the coach in Te Anau participants enjoy a short trip through the rolling countryside to Manapouri to board their Real Journeys vessel at Pearl Harbour Wharf, Manapouri. This is then followed by a cruise across the crystal waters of Lake Manapouri to West Arm before boarding a coach and crossing the alpine route of Wilmot Pass through some of Fiordland's most dense rainforest. Upon reaching Deep Cove board the Real Journeys overnight vessel for a leisurely exploration of Doubtful Sound. The Fiordland Navigator is a 40 metre motor vessel with spacious deck areas offering stunning views of waterfalls, abundant wildlife, rainforest and mountains. It is home to bottlenose dolphins, fur seals and, when in season, the rare Fiordland Crested Penguin. An on-board nature guide with specialist knowledge of the region's history, flora and fauna provides detailed interpretation with a roving microphone. Activities include kayaking and excursions in the tender vessels to explore the coastline. The vessel then anchors overnight in one of Doubtful Sound's hidden arms. Evening dining includes a three-course buffet meal with a selection of mains. Overnight accommodation is on board in a Private Cabin.
The next morning, after a choice of either a cooked or continental breakfast, there is time for further cruising before returning to Deep Cove and disembarking for a return trip back to Te Anau by coach. Tour concludes at approximately 12.45pm, at Real Journeys Visitor Centre, Te Anau, at which time hotel drop offs will commence.
