Price from £355 per person

Salt Air can offer you a unique and memorable experience of the Bay of Islands and Northland from the air with spectacular coastline views and island scenery. This guided tour will also leave you with an appreciation of our local history, culture and coastal environment that is uniquely Northland.

A Salt Air vehicle will pick you up from your central Auckland hotel and transfer you to the airport to board your aircraft for a 7.15am departure. Flight time to the Bay of Islands is approximately 55 minutes, incorporating a brief stop in Whangarei for passengers leaving the aircraft there. From Kerikeri Airport a courtesy vehicle will transfer passengers to Paihia, the hub of the Bay of Islands, where they then board a vessel for a 3 hour cruise out to the famous Hole in the Rock, enjoying views of the islands and possible dolphin sightings along the way. On the return cruise participants will be dropped off in Russell to enjoy a walk, a leisurely lunch (at own expense) and some time exploring this historic town. A Russell ferry ticket back to Paihia is provided. At a pre-arranged time you will be transferred back to your aircraft at Kerikeri Airport for your return flight to Auckland. This leg of the flight will follow the west coast route south via the Kaipara Harbour. On your way you will see the Kaipara Harbour, the Bay of Islands, Paihia/Russell and Waitangi, Whangarei Heads, the Hen and Chicken Islands, Waipu Cove, Mangawhai Heads and the Hauraki Gulf before landing in Auckland. Tour concludes at approximately 7.00pm, back at North Shore Airfield, at which time hotel drop offs will commence.
