Cathay Pacific, the Hong Kong based airline offers wonderful connections through to Australia and New Zealand, and now offer a direct connection to Fiji - flights from Hong Kong to Fiji will be operated by Fiji Airways. Additionally Far North Queensland is connected directly to Hong Kong with services into Cairns.

Cathay Pacific from London Heathrow, Gatwick and Manchester

With 5 daily flights to Hong Kong from London Heathrow Terminal 3, Cathay Pacific offers the most frequent service to this Far East destination all on Boeing B777-300ER aircraft.  Utilising the modern B777 and new A350-900 aircraft they offer a seamless and convenient connection to all destinations in Australasia. 
Additionally there are daily non-stop flights to Hong Kong from London Gatwick and 5 flights per week from Manchester, all on A350-900 aircraft.

Cathay Pacific operate 88 flights a week into Australia/New Zealand.
The following destinations can be reached on connecting flights:

Christchurch: 3 flights per week (Wed, Sun & Fri : Dec, Jan & Feb)
Sydney:  4 flights per day (1 day & 3 overnight) 
Melbourne: 3 flights per day (1 operates through Adelaide)

Perth: 1 flight per day (2 on Thu, Sat, Sun) 
Brisbane:  1 flight per day (2 on Tue, Thu, Sat & Sun)
Cairns:  1 flight per day (3 direct and 4 via Brisbane) 
Cairns can therefore be reached with just one stop from London on Cathay Pacific.
Nadi (Fiji): Connecting flights to Fiji are possible with Air Fiji from Hong Kong.

Premium Economy
Cathay Pacific are one of the few airlines that offer an Economy seat with more space, an upgraded seat and in a dedicated cabin. With a premium level of service these seating options are becoming increasingly popular on long haul flights.  These seats are available on the daily London to Hong Kong flights and most services into Australia and New Zealand.

Regional Connections:  Utilising the services of British Airways it is possible, at a small supplement, to connect with flights from Belfast, Aberdeen, Glasgow, Edinburgh, Leeds-Bradford, Manchester (no additional cost) and Newcastle.

Pre-Booked Seats
On most flights your actual seats can be pre-booked at no additional cost.  Like most airlines, however, Cathay have now adopted a pricing policy to pre-book seats in Economy Class. Baggage Allowance
The following is the current baggage allowance on flights through to Australasia
Checked:  Economy Lite  23 kgs    (other fare types give a higher allowance)
Prem Economy 2 x 23 kgs    Business  2 x 32 kgs      First  3 x 32 kgs
No one bag to exceed 32 kgs 
Carry on:  Economy & Prem Econ 1 x 7 kg;    Business  1 x 10 kgs    First  1 x 15 kgs 
Small groups can combine their weight within the above conditions.  ie 3 people in economy can check in a total of 69 kgs as long as no one bag weighs more than 32 kgs.

Online check in is available 48 hours before departure. 

Oneworld Alliance

Cathay Pacific is a member of the global Oneworld Alliance of leading international airlines including British Airways, Qantas, Malaysia and Qatar Airlines. The group have 15 member airlines and serve 150 countries approaching 1000 destinations. A number of special airfares are available including 2 different and quite unique Round the World (RTW) fares in the Oneworld Explorer and Global Explorer.

Virgin Australia

Special fares are available within Australia and New Zealand for clients flying Cathay Pacific.  Frequent flights, unrivaled service and Virgin Australia now includes business class.

Economy Class
