Walhalla's Star Hotel (Walhalla)
Price from £121 per room per night
Located in Walhalla, the township is in a secluded, heavily forested location in the foothills of Mount Baw Baw, which is one of the old gold-mining town's major attractions. The hotel was rebuilt in 1999. It is a replica facade of the original gold-era Star Hotel, however the interior has been designed to suit modern requirements. It is a blend of colonial influences such as the wide verandah clad in iron lacework, the clever use of corrugated iron for interior touches, and the country-style lounge and bar where guests can relax in front of a log fire.
Bar(s), Disabled Facilities, Computer Terminal, Internet Access (Extra Charge), Meeting Facilities, Parking Facilities, Restaurant(s) and a Tour Desk.
The hotel rooms are spacious, contemporary and equipped with all the modern conveniences. All rooms either open on the verandah (1st floor) or onto the cottage garden (ground floor).
