Doubtful Sound Day Excursion - Coach/Cruise/Coach

Full Day ex Te Anau.

Price from £155 per person

A Real Journeys vehicle will pick you up from your Te Anau hotel for your transfer to the departure point of your tour. Begin with a short coach trip through rolling countryside to Manapouri before boarding the vessel for a cruise across the crystal waters of Lake Manapouri to West Arm. A coach then takes clients across the alpine route of Wilmot Pass on a journey through some of Fiordland's most dense rainforest. Upon reaching Deep Cove, board the vessel Patea Explorer for a three hour cruise exploring the serene and isolated fiord that is Doubtful Sound. Patea Explorer is a 31.01 metre cruising catamaran. View spectacular alpine scenery including waterfalls, rainforest and mountains all the way out to the Tasman Sea, while keeping a look out for bottlenose dolphins, fur seals and the rare Fiordland Crested Penguin. During the cruise, the vessel’s engines are turned off and passengers are treated to the ‘sound of silence’ before re-tracing their journey back to Te Anau. Tour concludes at approximately 6.30pm, at which time hotel drop offs will commence.
